We traveled to Korea on March 17, 2025. Surprisingly, Korea wasn’t really on our bucket list, but our family bought tickets for a fun vacation, and we couldn’t say no! From historical sites to unique cafes and breathtaking landscapes, our trip turned out to be nothing short of amazing.
Day 1: A Blend of Knowledge, Serenity, and City Views
We headed to Bongeunsa, a Buddhist temple in the heart of Seoul. The contrast between the towering skyscrapers and the temple’s peaceful surroundings was mesmerizing. Walking through the temple grounds, We felt a deep sense of tranquility.
To wrap up the day, We visited N Seoul Tower. The breathtaking panoramic view of Seoul from the observation deck was unforgettable. As the city lights flickered beneath me, We couldn’t help but appreciate the vibrant energy of Seoul.
Day 2: Nature and Whimsical Encounters
The second day was all about nature and adorable animals. We kicked off our morning at Alpaca World, where we had the chance to get up close with fluffy alpacas. Feeding and petting them was such a fun and heartwarming experience!
On our way to Nami Island, we stopped over at a dakgalbi restaurant to enjoy a delicious meal. The sizzling, spicy stir-fried chicken dish was the perfect way to refuel before continuing our journey.
After our hearty meal, we made our way to Nami Island. Famous for its picturesque tree-lined paths and tranquil atmosphere, it was a paradise for nature lovers. Whether strolling along the scenic trails or admiring the serene lake, every moment felt like stepping into a fairytale.
Day 3: History and Unexpected Events
Our third day in Korea was dedicated to exploring its rich history. We started the day with a visit to Onion Café to have some breakfast and warm ourselves up. The café's rustic charm and delicious pastries made for a perfect morning start.
On our way to Gyeongbokgung Palace, we encountered a rally protest. While unexpected, it was interesting to witness locals standing up for their beliefs. It added a unique perspective to our trip, showing us a side of Korea beyond its tourist spots.
Gyeongbokgung Palace did not disappoint. The grandeur of the palace, coupled with the sight of guards in traditional attire, transported us back in time.
Day 4: A Playful and Cozy Finale
We started our final day with breakfast at Solsot, where we enjoyed a hearty and comforting meal. It was the perfect way to fuel up for the day ahead.
Next, we visited the Samoyed Winter Village Café, a paradise for dog lovers! Being surrounded by fluffy, friendly Samoyeds was an absolute joy.
Afterward, we headed to the Trick Eye Museum, where we had a blast interacting with the fun and mind-bending art installations. It was the perfect way to end our trip on a playful note.
Final Thoughts
Our four-day adventure in Korea was packed with culture, history, nature, and fun experiences. Whether it was gazing at city lights, petting alpacas, or stepping into historical sites, every moment was special.
Although we also visited Myeongdong and Hongdae, we didn’t take many photos there. The allure of shopping pulled us into every deal we saw, making it hard to resist!
